Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has condemned the Niamey attacks, reaffirming Iran's support for Niger's sovereignty and stability.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a message on Thursday, Baqaei condemned the violent incidents and attacks in Niamey, the capital of Niger, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of a number of military personnel and civilians.

Expressing sympathy with the families of those killed and solidarity with the people and government of Niger, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson reaffirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Nigerien government's efforts to safeguard the country's independence and national sovereignty.
