Karbala: The body of the martyred Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has arrived in the Iraqi holy city of Karbala.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the body of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution has just arrived in Karbala, as reported by the Iraqi News Agency on Wednesday.

Earlier, the holy city of Najaf hosted a grand funeral procession, attended by millions of mourners, honoring Ayatollah Khamenei. This massive event, accompanied by a flood of devotees and the deep grief of mourners, will continue on Wednesday evening at the holy shrine of Imam Hossein (AS).

After farewell and funeral ceremonies in Tehran and Qom, as well as similar events in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala, the body of Ayatollah Khamenei will be laid to rest beside the shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the Iranian holy city of Mashhad on Thursday.

Ayatollah Khamenei was assassinated in a terrorist US-Israeli airstrike on February 28, when the two regimes launched their second war of aggression against Iran that lasted 40 days. Iran has vowed to take revenge for the criminal act.
