Cambodia's Grand Mufti and Chairman of the Highest Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Sheikh Kamaruddin bin Yusof met with Imam and Khatib of the Grand Mosque of Makkah Dr. Bandar bin Abdulaziz Baleelah and the accompanying delegation in Phnom Penh on Thursday. The meeting was part of Baleelah's official visit program to Cambodia, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance. Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Cambodia Mohammed Ismaeil Dahlwy was present at the meeting. The grand mufti praised the support extended by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince towards Muslim affairs. Bin Yusof also emphasized the Kingdom's contributions to development initiatives in Cambodia, scholarships granted to Cambodian students, and the Hajj campaigns as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit. Dr. Baleelah emphasized that the Saudi leadership is making every eff ort to unite Muslims and propagate the values of moderation. He noted that his visit marks the first by an Imam of the Two Holy Mosques to Cambodia, playing a role in strengthening communication among the Muslim community. Dr. Baleelah highlighted the significant and noble mission of Cambodia's Highest Council for Islamic Religious Affairs, which aims to introduce Islam, emphasize its virtues and objectives, and underscore its call for nation-building, peace, and harmony.
