Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el Hefny said Egypt International Airshow will contribute to enhancing Egypt's position as a regional aviation hub, especially in light of state-of-the-art technologies and equipment in the aviation and space fields, which will be showcased in the exhibition. It will also be a promising opportunity to exchange modern expertise and visions in the air transport field, Hefny added. The minister made the remarks during a surprise tour he made of El Alamein International Airport to follow up on the progress of work there and check on the latest necessary arrangements made ahead of the event that is to be hosted by New Alamein City, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a statement Friday 23/8/2024. Nearly 10,000 participants and visitors from all over the world are scheduled to take part in the exhibition, along with representatives of major international companies in the aviation and space fields.
