Tehran: The Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Air Force, Brigadier General Bahman Behmard, has declared that defending the homeland, family, and standing against enemy threats is a common duty for all Iranians, regardless of religion and denomination. He emphasized the importance of national unity and the solidarity of divine religions in Iran during a meeting with Ara Shaverdian, the Representative of Armenians of Tehran and northern Iran in the Parliament.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Behmard urged all Muslims and Christians living in Iran to resist enemy threats and aggression, insisting that foreigners must not be allowed to violate the sanctity of Iran and the Iranian nation. He stressed the shared responsibility among all Iranians to protect their homeland.

Meanwhile, Shavardian took the opportunity to congratulate the birth of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and the New Year. He expressed that, on behalf of the Armenians of Iran, the community has always supported the Iranian nation and harbors deep affection for Iran. The Armenian community's commitment is further highlighted by the fact that among religious minorities, Armenian Christians presented the highest number of martyrs during the Iran-Iraq war, illustrating the strong bond between the Armenian community and Iran.
