Tehran: Twenty-one new fatalities have been recorded over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll from Israel's aggression against Lebanon to 4,278 since March 2, 2026, the Health Ministry of Lebanon has announced. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, it remains unclear whether the 21 individuals registered in the past day were killed during the same timeframe or whether the figure includes bodies recently recovered from bombed areas. It added that 12,196 people have been injured during this span, as the updated statistics cover the period from March 2 to June 30. The announcement comes as Beirut and Tel Aviv, under US supervision, have signed a framework agreement outlining a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory. The plan sets out steps for the Lebanese Army to assume security responsibility in areas vacated by Israeli forces. Despite the agreement, the Israeli regime's forces continue to occupy parts of southern Lebanon and have expanded their current incursion more than ten kilomete rs inside Lebanese territory.
