He stated that the border shared between Iran and Armenia serves as a historical communication link between the two nations, and Iran is committed to preventing any encroachment on this border.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during a meeting with the Armenian Defense Minister, Brigadier-General Nasirzadeh underscored the strategic importance of the relationship between Iran and Armenia. He noted that Armenia holds a significant position in Iran's neighborhood policy, with bilateral relations deeply rooted in historical and cultural ties. Nasirzadeh further expressed that achieving lasting peace in the Caucasus region would open up significant opportunities for regional development.
