Deputy Foreign Minister Commends Iranian Unity Against U.S.-Israeli Aggression

Tehran: Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Vahid Jalalzadeh has lauded the Iranian nation for their concerted efforts in defending the country’s sovereignty amidst recent U.S.-Israeli aggression. Jalalzadeh praised the people for their unwavering resolve during a 12-day conflict, describing them as the ‘antidote’ to the challenges imposed by Israel.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Jalalzadeh emphasized the nation’s historical role in supporting the Islamic Republic, attributing the success of the Islamic Revolution to the people’s steadfast presence and guidance over the past 46 years. He quoted statements from the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, and Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to underline the people’s significance as the embodiment of the Republic’s authority.

The deputy foreign minister highlighted the nation’s cohesive stance on the battlefield, demonstrating to adversaries and the global audience their commitment to defending the homeland without compromise. He addressed anti-Iran plots, noting that enemies mistakenly believed they could incite internal turmoil and seriously damage the Islamic Republic through surprise attacks. However, these plans were thwarted by the resilience of Iranians both domestically and internationally.

Jalalzadeh stressed the importance of unity and urged efforts to mitigate differences through internal consensus. The conflict began on June 13, when Israel launched an unprovoked war, targeting Iran’s military figures, nuclear experts, and civilians across several cities, including Tehran.

In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces executed 22 rounds of strikes using advanced missiles and drones, successfully breaching Israel’s air defense systems and impacting strategic locations. This military response compelled Israel to accept a U.S.-mediated ceasefire after 12 days of fighting.
