Tehran: Head of the Center for Political and International Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Saeed Khatibzadeh has expressed confidence that Iran's nation will once again succeed in resisting economic terrorism. Referring to the continuation of the US policy of maximum pressure and economic sanctions against Iran, Khatibzadeh emphasized the Iranian government's determination to mobilize all capacities and cooperate across all branches of power to neutralize sanctions and protect national interests and security.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Khatibzadeh made these remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony marking the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism. He highlighted that the Iranian nation, as in the past, will prevail through resistance. He pointed out that the actions of those imposing sanctions stem from their failure in the previous stage of the economic confrontation, particularly referencing the US president's claim of economic warfare against Iran.

For years, efforts have been made to pressure the Iranian nation, with repeated flawed narratives circulating in international media. Khatibzadeh stressed that sanctions are explicitly imposed to make the Iranian nation desperate and to undermine the people's resilience.

Further, Khatibzadeh commented on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school massacre in Minab as an example of terror, drawing parallels to the current economic terrorism that affects ordinary people in Iran. He reiterated that over the past year, hundreds of international documents regarding new acts of terror have been prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and submitted to international organizations.
