Babil: The Babil Directorate of Narcotics Affairs announced on Friday the arrest of two foreign nationals and the seizure of more than 2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in two separate operations.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the directorate stated that the operations were executed with precision and professionalism, guided by high-level intelligence efforts. Authorities reported seizing 2.2 kilograms of crystal meth from the suspects during these operations.
The statement further revealed that the arrests were the result of extensive intelligence monitoring and surveillance of the suspects' movements, which ultimately led to their apprehension.
Legal procedures have been initiated against the suspects, and they have been referred to the judiciary, as confirmed by the directorate. The General Directorate for Narcotics Affairs reiterated its commitment to conducting proactive operations aimed at pursuing drug traffickers, dismantling their networks, disrupting supply chains, and curbing the flow of narcotics.
