Drone Display in UK Parliament ‘Deplorable’ Act Staged by Israeli Lobby: Araghchi

London: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called the display of a drone in the British parliament, wrongly attributed to Iran, a deplorable act staged by the Israeli lobby and its supporters. In a post on his X account on Sunday, Araghchi reacted to the display of a drone in the British parliament and the false allegations made against Iran. He described the presentation of the drone as a regrettable act orchestrated by the Israeli lobby and its supporters.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi noted that those who oppose friendly relations between Iran and Europe are trying to create narratives that contradict the long-standing relationships that have existed for centuries, including the ties between Iran and Poland. The top Iranian diplomat emphasized that Iran is ready for technical discussions and the exchange of documents to clarify the facts, especially in light of this display.

The head of Poland’s representative office in Tehran, Marcin Wilczek, was summoned by Mahmoud Heidari, the Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister and Director General of Mediterranean and Eastern European Affairs at Iran’s Foreign Ministry, on October 16, 2025. The summons was a direct response to the Polish foreign minister’s cooperation with a US-Zionist group for the anti-Iran measure in the UK parliament. The Polish diplomat was also cited for making unfounded claims regarding the use of Iranian drones in the Russia-Ukraine war.
