Egyptian Ambassador in Lisbon Wael el Naggar confirmed Egypt seeks to boost investment and trade relations with Portugal to reach the level of distinguished political ties between the two countries. The Egyptian diplomat's remarks came at a meeting with Board Chairman of the Portuguese Investment and Foreign Trade Agency Ricardo Araujo following assuming his new post. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday 31/8/2024 that the meeting discussed efforts exerted to facilitate the establishment of partnerships with Portugal, based on mutual benefit. Both sides tackled future action plans to enhance joint cooperation in new vistas including renewable energy, IT industries, logistics zones, start-ups and small and medium-sized industries.
