Egyptian Ambassador in Lisbon Wael el Naggar asserted the Egyptian stance towards the developments in the Gaza Strip especially in light of the current developments aiming at reaching a ceasefire and the Egyptian strenuous efforts to avoid any military escalation in the region because of the Israeli war on Gaza in addition to the Egyptian stance towards the situation in Sudan. This came during Naggar's participation in a business lunch called for by Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel to the accredited heads of missions of Arab countries in Portugal. The meeting tackled several regional and international issues, topped by the Israeli war on Gaza and the efforts exerted to reach a ceasefire, the Syrian file, the latest developments in Sudan and the military operation in Ukraine.
