Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expats Badr Abdelatty made a phone call on Wednesday 7/8/2024 to Iraqi counterpart Fouad Hussein to hold talks on bilateral relations and regional crises. Minister Abdelatty underlined Egypt's backing to the security and stability of Iraq, and keenness on implementing planned joint projects as well as trilateral ones with Jordan. On another level, the minister presented Egypt's efforts on managing the crisis of Gaza Strip, reiterating the salience of a ceasefire, and immediate delivery of sufficient quantities of humanitarian aid to its residents. Abdelatty also displayed the endeavors made by Egypt - through communication with different parties - to contain the escalation the Middle East is experiencing and prevent the outbreak of a war that would hit regional security and stability.
