Tehran: With the continuation of the Israeli regime's aggression against the Gaza Strip, the total number of martyrs in the area has reached 73,051.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the health ministry of Gaza announced on Saturday that eight people have been killed and 20 others injured in the past 24 hours in attacks carried out by the Israeli regime. Since the ceasefire was declared on October 11, 2025, a total of 1,038 Palestinians have been killed and 3,329 others wounded in Gaza. During this period, the bodies of 786 martyrs have also been recovered from under the rubble.

With these figures included, the cumulative number of martyrs in Gaza since 7, 2023, has risen to 73,051, while the number of injured has reached 173,437. In a statement, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said the people of Gaza continue to face an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, which is worsening day by day due to the ongoing genocidal war, systematic killings, blockade, and widespread destruction launched by the Israeli regime.

Hamas stressed that the situation in Gaza - from the spread of hunger and poverty to the collapse of the health system, the destruction of water and sewage networks, the deterioration of environmental and living conditions, the suspension of education, and the increasing suffering of children, women, and the elderly - shows that the occupiers continue to use starvation, deprivation, and deliberate destruction as a tool to pursue their aggression against more than two million Palestinians.

The statement added that despite the efforts of humanitarian and relief organizations, the volume of aid entering the Gaza Strip remains limited and far below the minimum needs of the population, especially as the Israeli regime imposes restrictions on the entry and distribution of aid and targets all aspects of civilian life. Hamas emphasized that limited aid can never replace ending the aggression and fully lifting the blockade, as the root cause of the catastrophe is the occupation and its criminal policies, not shortcomings in humanitarian operations.

The movement held the Israeli regime and the United States fully responsible for the escalation of this humanitarian disaster and condemned any attempt to obstruct relief efforts, undermine social stability, or serve the agenda of the occupiers.
