The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has announced five investment opportunities for agricultural projects in the Al-Baha region through the "FURAS" platform. The projects include cultivating fruit trees, coffee, palm trees, and producing flowers and wild trees. The goal is to increase self-sufficiency rates in agricultural products and contribute to achieving food security in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The investment opportunities include a coffee city project to cultivate over 150,000 trees in an area of more than 2.29 million square meters, with a production capacity of over 15,000 tons. The deadline for submitting bids is September 10, and the envelopes will be opened on September 11, 2024. Another project is the Al-Ennab village project near Al-Janabeen Dam, focusing on the cultivation of palm trees, fruit trees, and other fruit trees, covering a total area of over 4.6 million square meters. The deadline for submitting bids is September 24, and the envelopes will be opened on S eptember 25, 2024. The lavender fields project aims to plant over 2,500 lavender seedlings annually and to set up a fence and shades made of agricultural mesh, mother fields, and irrigation networks in an area exceeding 11,710 square meters. The deadline for submitting bids is September 2, and the envelopes will be opened on September 3, 2024. Additionally, there is a fruit nursery project in Qilwah to cultivate 100,000 seedlings annually for all types of fruits in an area exceeding 33,370 square meters and a flower nursery project in Qilwah to produce 500,000 seedlings annually for all types of flowers and wild trees in an area exceeding 34,790 square meters. The last date for submitting bids for the nurseries is September 3, and the envelopes will be opened on September 4, 2024.
