The EU maintains that a diplomatic solution is crucial to ensuring the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program and safeguarding Middle East stability.
The statement also referenced a recent resolution adopted by the IAEA Board concerning Iran's safeguards implementation, reiterating the EU's commitment to a negotiated solution. The EU emphasized the non-negotiable nature of Iran's compliance with its safeguards obligations and called for adherence to international law and humanitarian principles to prevent any actions that could result in serious consequences, such as potential radioactive release.
In its concluding remarks, the EU reaffirmed its dedication to regional security, including the security of Israel, and called on all parties to cooperate with the IAEA, ensuring the safety of its personnel and the effective execution of its roles in nuclear safety, security, and safeguards.
