According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Cong Peiwu, the Chinese ambassador, detailed China's commitment to Iran in a special note commemorating the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Iran and the decade-long Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Highlighting regional challenges, Cong mentioned the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and recent US-Israeli actions against Iran as pressing issues.

Cong Peiwu referenced President Xi Jinping's recent speech on the anniversary of the Communist Party of China, emphasizing China's role in fostering global peace and supporting nations in their developmental pursuits. He highlighted China's involvement in reconciliation efforts, such as the Beijing Declaration by Palestinian groups, portraying these as steps toward peace and stability in West Asia.

The ambassador reiterated China's commitment to President Xi's four major initiatives announced in April, focusing on principles like peaceful coexistence, respect for sovereignty, adherence to international law, and the balance between development and security. He emphasized China's opposition to hegemonic actions and sanctions against Iran, reiterating support for Iran's sovereignty and security.

Cong Peiwu also stressed the importance of improving Iran's relations with Persian Gulf and regional countries, affirming China's willingness to aid in restoring regional peace.
