The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) invited influential artificial-intelligence (AI) leaders and experts from around the world to join the "SDAIA Global AI Community." The SDAIA initiative aims to create a knowledge-based community where members can exchange ideas, contributing to reshaping creative thinking and shaping the future of data and AI globally. The initiative was announced during a panel discussion held at the third Global AI Summit, where initiative members were categorized into four groups focusing on smart cities, data and AI technologies, the AI sector, and data and AI governance and ethics. The invitation is designed to accommodate the largest number of AI experts to help shape the future of AI globally. The experts will collaborate with technology leaders in the Kingdom. The initiative serves as an open communication platform where AI experts engage in discussions within a broad space provided by SDAIA. The goal is to unify perspectives on the rapid development o f advanced technologies, highlight the Kingdom's achievements in this field, and emphasize its international role in supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This comes in line with the Saudi Vision 2030's aim to build a knowledge-based society, advance the field of data and AI, stimulate its growth, and harness its benefits for the betterment of humanity.
