Tehran: The head of Iran's Expediency Council has described the Iranian people's massive participation in nationwide rallies commemorating the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution as a 'teeth-breaking response' to repeated threats by American officials.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, in a speech at the beginning of a session of the Expediency Council on Wednesday, stated that US officials' miscalculations about the Iranian nation and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution would only serve as a tool for the Israeli lobby to exploit.
Ayatollah Amoli Larijani praised Iranians for their significant turnout in the marches on February 11, marking the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. He highlighted that the people, with a clear understanding of the Islamic Revolution, conveyed an important message to the world, demonstrating their resilience against threats and their unwillingness to be intimidated.
The head of the Expediency Council stressed that a nation that has lived for more than 47 years with the ideals of the Islamic Revolution once again showed their commitment to the same principles, despite ongoing threats and propaganda from adversaries.
