Geneva: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Switzerland to hold the second round of indirect negotiations with the United States on the country's peaceful nuclear program. Araghchi, accompanied by a high-ranking diplomatic and specialized delegation, landed in Geneva late on Sunday night.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the second round of indirect talks between Iran and the US will be held on Tuesday and will be mediated again by Oman. The first round was held in Muscat last week, which was described by the two sides as a "good start."
During the trip, the top diplomat is also scheduled to meet with his Swiss and Omani counterparts, as well as the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and several other international officials based in Switzerland.
Apart from the talks with the US, a speech at the United Nations' Conference on Disarmament is also among Araghchi's plans in Geneva.
