Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has responded to claims by his Jordanian counterpart, questioning how long Tehran should wait before responding to an aggressor that violates Iran's sovereignty.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi addressed comments made by Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on his X account. Safadi had claimed that Iran attacked Jordan and other nations in the region shortly after the onset of the US war of aggression, suggesting that Iran's actions were not retaliatory.

Araghchi countered this assertion by highlighting the involvement of Arab airspace, territory, and waters in the early US military actions against Iran. He questioned Safadi's perspective, asking how long Iran should wait to respond to an aggressor that disregards the sovereignty of both Arab states and Iran.

The Iranian foreign minister further challenged Safadi's awareness of the situation, emphasizing that the initial US attacks, which led to the loss of Iranian lives, were facilitated through Arab territories.
