Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty inspected Friday the Egyptian Embassy premises in Beirut. During the visit, Abdelatty met with members of the diplomatic mission and its technical offices, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a statement. Such visits aim to ensure the progress of work and inspect the status of the facilities of the Egyptian missions abroad, he added. Abdelatty also made a tour of Beirut Arab University (BAU) on the sidelines of his visit to Lebanon. The minister met with the University's Board of Trustees, deans of faculties and Egyptian professors. BAU has been historically tied to Egypt since its founding in 1960 as part of an Egyptian-Lebanese collaboration, and it continues to be one of the most important vehicles of Egyptian-Lebanese cooperation, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a statement.
