Tehran: Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has declared that Iran will not engage in discussions regarding its nuclear energy program if subjected to pressure, emphasizing that negotiation should be distinct from coercion.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araqchi communicated via his X account, formerly Twitter, stating, "Iran's nuclear energy program has always been-and will always remain-entirely peaceful." He stressed, "There is fundamentally, therefore, no such thing as its 'potential militarization'."

Araqchi firmly stated that Iran refuses to negotiate under any form of pressure or intimidation, asserting, "We will NOT even consider it, no matter what the subject may be. Negotiation is different from bullying and issuing diktats."

Furthermore, Araqchi mentioned that Iran is in consultations with the E3 countries, as well as Russia and China, aiming to foster mutual respect and explore avenues to enhance confidence and transparency concerning Tehran's nuclear program. These efforts are made in exchange for the removal of what he described as unlawful sanctions.

He noted that historically, Iran has shown respect towards the U.S. when treated with respect, but responded confrontationally whenever faced with threats, underscoring, "Every action compels a reaction."
