The "Non-Saudi Graduates of Higher Education Institutions" forum commenced today in Kenya, featuring a series of scientific sessions with the participation of academics, researchers from Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education, and graduates from Kenya who studied at Saudi universities. The forum's first session focused on these graduates' contributions to establishing institutions for Islamic education in Kenya, emphasizing teachings rooted in a moderate and balanced approach. The session also highlighted the efforts of Saudi higher education institutions in promoting moderation, with Kenya serving as a key example. Non-Saudi graduates of Saudi universities were commended for their role in spreading these values. Ministry of Education Director General of Intellectual Awareness Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Orifi delivered a keynote presentation on "The Kingdom's Experience in Promoting Moderation and Countering Terrorism." He showcased notable Saudi initiatives and intellectual awareness efforts to combat extremism and promote a moderate approach. These efforts include establishing intellectual awareness units within universities and creating national centers dedicated to intellectual protection from extremism and fanaticism. The forum, organized by Saudi higher education institutions including the Islamic University in Madinah, Imam Mohammad bin Saud Islamic University, and Umm Al-Qura University, will continue for over three days. It features four scientific sessions, an accompanying exhibition, and training programs for over 300 participating graduates.
