SISTAN AND BALUCHESTAN: Four members of a significant terrorist group operating in southeastern Iran have been killed, and six others have been arrested, as announced by a provincial security official. Brigadier General Ahmad Shafaei reported that these actions were taken following the martyrdom of 10 officers in a deadly attack in Taftan, located in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan last week. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Brigadier General Shafaei stated that local security forces, along with the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps forces and anti-terrorism units of the local police, have delivered a substantial blow to the terrorist proxies. Since the deadly attack in Taftan, 14 members of the terrorist group have been arrested, and eight others have been killed. The arrested individuals are identified as key members of the group responsible for the attack on security defenders in Taftan. The security operations also led to the seizure of a large cache of weapons, including US- made arms, highlighting the intensity and seriousness of the situation in the region. An Iranian police spokesman confirmed last week that the ringleader of the terrorist group responsible for the attack on a police convoy had been killed. Brigadier General Saeed Montazer al-Mahdi emphasized the fulfillment of their promise to avenge the blood of their martyrs.
