Tehran: Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Major General Mohsen Rezaei has issued a stern warning to the United States, emphasizing that any military aggression against Iran will result in a significant retaliatory response impacting American military and economic interests. Rezaei underscored the necessity for Washington to take concrete actions before Iran considers reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei conveyed this message during a meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Tehran. He expressed his distrust towards the United States, citing past betrayals in diplomacy and negotiations.

Rezaei warned, "If the United States commits any evil against Iran, we will inflict such affliction on its military and economic interests that it will be recorded in history." He reiterated that practical steps from Washington are essential for Iran to reconsider its position on the Strait of Hormuz.

The meeting also highlighted strong bilateral relations, with Al Thani expressing gratitude for Iran's support to Qatar during challenging times. The Qatari Prime Minister reaffirmed the unwavering cooperation with Iran and emphasized Qatar's commitment to regional stability, driven by a sense of responsibility.
