Tehran: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf met with a senior member of the Lebanese Amal Movement, Khalil Hamdan, in Tehran on Thursday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Hamdan, accompanied by a group of Lebanese parliament members, traveled to Iran to attend the funeral of the martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The visit underscores the ongoing ties between Iran and Lebanon and reflects the importance of the event on an international scale.

Additionally, the ceremony drew representatives from Islamic centers, civic groups, and antiwar and anti-hegemony movements from several European countries. Delegates from Italy, the Netherlands, Britain, Denmark, and Austria also traveled to Tehran, either to attend the funeral or to provide media coverage of the significant event. The congregation of diverse international representatives highlights the global impact and significance of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei's leadership and the respect commanded by his legacy.
