Gharibabadi: Kazem Gharibabadi, deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, in a message emphasized that the demining of the Strait of Hormuz will be carried out only by Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Gharibabadi made the remarks in a post on his X account after Macron, the French president, stated that France is cooperating with its partners in the demining of the Strait of Hormuz. Gharibabadi highlighted that the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding specifies that demining will be conducted solely by Iran and not by any other country, emphasizing that Iran will not permit external involvement in this matter.

Gharibabadi further noted the sensitive and complex nature of the situation, advising France against exacerbating the situation with its actions. He underscored Iran's position and urged restraint to avoid any provocations.
