The first session of the Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum 2024 in Riyadh is launched, organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. The opening session focused on the topic 'From Incentive to Expectation - How Can National-Level Thinking Drive the Growth and Impact of CSR?' Participants included Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) Dr. Saad Al-Kasabi; Chairman of the Board and CEO of EntreViable Dr. Maen Murdi Al-Qatamin; President of Boeing Global Dr. Brendan Nelson; and Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Saudi Arabia Hans Peter Van Der Woude. During the session, Dr. Al-Kasabi addressed the role of social responsibility in Vision 2030, emphasizing that limiting social responsibility to community development is a misconception. He explained that it is a broader concept encompassing environmental protection, human rights, and consumer issues. This requires a comprehensive approach that includes developing standards and implementing awareness programs for both the public and private sectors to adopt innovative practices and initiatives. Dr. Al-Kasabi asserted that the core values of social responsibility standards help institutions and companies establish and localize their responsibility. This approach goes beyond financial resources and strategies, addressing other aspects of responsibility to improve employee satisfaction and enhance brand and commercial identity.
