Al-quds: Hamas political bureau member Bassem Naim has declared the destruction of a building belonging to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in the occupied al-Quds as a war crime and a clear violation of international law.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Naim, in a statement quoted by Palestinian news agency Sama, emphasized that the absence of punitive measures and reliance solely on statements amounted to complicity in the crime. The incident has drawn attention to the international community's response, or lack thereof, to such actions in the region.

Hamas further articulated its stance through Lebanon's Al Mayadeen, highlighting that the international community's continued inability to provide a meaningful response to repeated Israeli violations was encouraging Israel to continue its actions. The group warned that this could lead to the imposition of new realities by force.

Palestinian media sources reported that Israeli forces raided the Kafr Aqab area of occupied al-Quds and subsequently demolished the UNRWA building, an act that has sparked widespread condemnation from various Palestinian factions and international observers.
