Gaza: The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has accused Israeli forces of committing ongoing crimes against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli facilities.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, a Palestinian detainee named Ahmad Hatem Mohammad Khdeirat lost his life in an Israeli hospital on Tuesday. The cause of death was attributed to alleged deliberate medical negligence.

In response to Khdeirat’s death, Hamas issued a statement expressing condolences and highlighting the detainee’s suffering from illness and deprivation while imprisoned. The movement warned of what it described as Israel’s plot of gradual killing targeting detainees, asserting that such actions have effectively turned prisons into silent mass graves.

Hamas reported that the total number of deceased prisoners has reached 78 since the onset of what it calls the genocidal war in occupied Palestine. The movement has called for immediate international intervention to hold Israeli leaders accountable for their actions against detainees.
