The Israeli news website "Jewish Press" reported that "Egypt is building sites to launch medium- and long-range ballistic missiles." The Hebrew website, which is issued by the extreme right-wing Israeli party, tried to downplay the danger of these platforms to Israel's security, saying that there is no cause for concern in Israel. The Hebrew website claimed that Egypt has been keen to possess ballistic missiles since the 1960s, when it recruited German scientists who are said to be working on the Nazi V2 project to arm themselves for the final battle against Israel. Last July, Israeli media revealed satellite images of what it said were "ballistic missile launch pads located deep in the mountains of Egypt." A repor t by the Israeli news website "Jewishpress" stated that "Egypt is building sites to launch medium and long-range ballistic missiles." The Hebrew website explained that "these images show sites dug deep in the mountains, and that construction operations are ongoing," stressing that "Egypt is working to enhance its military capabilities in an unprecedented way, through missile arms."
