Beirut: Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem has underscored that the Islamic Republic of Iran has consistently supported Palestine and the oppressed around the world. In a letter addressed to Ali Akbar Velayati, adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs, Sheikh Qassem highlighted Iran's role in backing the Resistance and the Palestinian nation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Hezbollah, despite the martyrdom of its commanders and suffering extensive damage during the recent battle, managed to thwart the objectives of the enemy's aggression. Sheikh Qassem stressed that Hezbollah 'will not forget the efforts and support of Dr. Velayati in the early stages of its establishment and during his tenure as foreign minister.'

Describing the victory of the Islamic Revolution as a 'great divine blessing,' he added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has led to the revival of religion in the face of East and West and 'has always been a supporter of Palestine and the oppressed of the world.' The Hezbollah chief also pointed to the Islamic Republic's resistance against imposed wars and sanctions over the past 47 years, including the Iraqi-imposed war and the '12-day war with the bullying of America and the crimes of the Zionists,' praising the sacrifices of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Iran's military and security forces.

He further hailed the courage and steadfastness of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as key to Iran's resilience.
