Beirut: The head of Hezbollah's Executive Council has stated that hostility by the US and Israel toward Iran stems from its Islamic and revolutionary nature, emphasizing that Iran is preventing the realization of the so-called 'Greater Israel' plot.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Sheikh Ali Damoush remarked that Iran has been targeted because it is the only nation that still stands in the axis of opposition to the Israeli regime. Referring to enemies' efforts for potential military aggression against Iran, Damoush noted that a war against Iran today primarily serves the interests of Israel, even more than those of the US. He accused Tel Aviv of seeking to derail the negotiation process between Tehran and Washington and creating pretexts to ignite conflict.
The Hezbollah official further asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Axis of Resistance have obstructed the expansionist ambitions of the Tel Aviv regime and the fulfillment of the so-called 'Greater Israel' scheme in the region. He explained that achieving this project and enabling the regime to dominate the region involves a critical step-eliminating Iran and its regional allies-but they have resisted such efforts.
Additionally, Damoush described the Resistance as the source of Lebanon's power and deterrence against Israel over the past three decades. He stressed that the Lebanese people will not surrender and remain resolute in fully obtaining their rights. He affirmed, "Our people, who sacrificed their best leaders and sons, will not abandon the resistance and its achievements," and emphasized that Resistance "is a legitimate right and will remain a symbol of Lebanon's dignity and pride, and no one, regardless of their position, can eliminate it or strip it of its right to exist."
