Tehran: The head of Iran's Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has issued a stern warning to the United States, stating that any 'uncalculated actions' by the US on Kharg Island or any part of Iranian soil will provoke a historic response.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ebrahim Azizi emphasized this point during a ceremony honoring the late Lieutenant General Mohammad Bagheri and his family, who were assassinated by what he termed as the American and Israeli terrorist regimes on June 13, 2025. Azizi criticized Donald Trump, referring to him as the 'delusional' president of the United States, for his repeated threats against Iran, both during and before the 12-day war.

Azizi assured that the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to deliver a decisive, crushing, painful, and regret-inducing response to any attack. He highlighted that the Iranian Armed Forces stationed on Kharg Island are maintaining a high level of readiness. Reflecting on the past conflict, he noted that during the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, more than 9,000 American personnel fled the Persian Gulf and over 14 American bases in the region were destroyed, labeling these events as 'humiliating for the United States.'
