Imam and preacher Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Huthaifi today visited Nahdlatul 'Ulama, the largest Islamic organization in the world, in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta. The organization has over 120 million members across various cities and regions in the Republic of Indonesia and enjoys the attention and support of the Indonesian government. During the visit, Sheikh Dr. Al-Huthaifi met with the organization's chairman, Yahya Cholil Staquf, in the presence of the Saudi ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Amoudi, and the embassy's religious attaché, Ahmad al-Hazmi. Meeting participants reviewed the organization's achievements, work, and programs over the past years. Sheikh Dr. Al-Huthaifi commended the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leadership in serving Islam and Muslims in countries around the world, including Indonesia. He elaborated that this visit reflects the leadership's keen interest in the affairs of Muslims, advising the attendees to adhere to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Proph et, which call for moderation, balance, and avoiding extremism and fanaticism. The visit comes within the framework of official visits made by the imams of the Two Holy Mosques through the "Visits of the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques" program, which is supervised and implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in coordination with several government agencies and their counterparts in various countries around the world.
