New Delhi: India's foreign minister, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, has expressed confidence that the 'deep-rooted' relations between Tehran and New Delhi will continue to grow.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Jaishankar, in a post on his X account on Saturday, thanked his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, for his 'warm wishes on 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Iran.'

Jaishankar highlighted that the ties between the two nations are driven by historical linkages, expressing confidence that their cooperation will continue to expand in the future. Araqchi had also marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, noting that the shared history and cultural bonds between Iran and India 'go back centuries if not millennia.'
