Tehran: The first International 'Minab Lullabies of Awakening' Festival is set to take place with the collaboration of Iran's Islamic Culture and Communications Organization. The festival invites mothers globally to record lullabies for the children of Minab, aiming to bridge geographical divides through the universal language of maternal love.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, festival secretary Maziar Rezakhani announced the event will consist of two sections, international and domestic. The initiative seeks to spotlight the attack on Minab on the first day of the conflict initiated by the US and Israel in early February, countering efforts to obscure or distort the event.

Rezakhani stated that a call for entries will be published soon, encouraging artists worldwide to participate by submitting their works. He emphasized the significance of this artistic event, especially when attempts are being made to conceal the full magnitude of the crime at the Minab school. The festival serves as a platform for artists, cultural and artistic officials, and supporters of freedom globally to express solidarity and awareness.

The attack on February 28 resulted in the deaths of at least 168 schoolchildren and their teachers when a US strike hit Shajareh-Tayyebeh primary school in Minab, located in Iran's southern region.
