Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan el Khatib on Saturday 12/10/2024 affirmed that Egypt and Saudi Arabia enjoy distinguished bilateral relations based on long history of cooperation and coordination. He highlighted a mutual desire and promising opportunities to double intra-trade and joint investments in the coming period. Khatib made the remarks during a meeting with Deputy Governor of the Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade Abdulaziz al Sakran to discuss means of promoting economic cooperation between the two countries in various domains. Khatib hailed efforts of Saudi officials, in particular Minister of Investment Khalid al Falih, in finalizing the bilateral investment protection agreement between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The Egypt-Saudi Joint Committee is a successful model for joint committees, in light of maintaining regular convention for 18 years along with playing a pivotal role in strengthening economic ties between the two sisterly nations. Meanwhile, Sakran conveyed greeting s of Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid al Qasabi to his Egyptian counterpart, emphasizing the deeply-rooted friendly relations between the two countries. He said that trade relations have achieved unprecedented growth rates recently.
