Noshahr: Iran's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani has announced that the nation has become self-sufficient in equipping its naval forces, a development he described as an honor for the country. The announcement was made during a military ceremony held in the coastal city of Noshahr in northern Iran, coinciding with the eve of Navy Day. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rear Admiral Irani emphasized the significance of this achievement, highlighting that the robust presence of Iranian naval forces in countering adversaries, particularly the United States, is a significant milestone in the country's naval history. He remarked that this self-sufficiency reflects the naval strength of the Islamic Republic of Iran and serves as a testament to the capability and resolve of its naval forces. The commander further asserted that the determination of Iran's naval commanders and staff will continue to serve as a deterrent to the nation's enemies. Navy Day in Iran, which will be observed on November 27 this year, commemorates the steadfast resistance of Iranian forces during the Iran-Iraq war that began in November 1980 and lasted for eight years.
