Iran Alleges Persian Gulf States’ Involvement in US-Israeli Aggression

New york: Iran's Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saied Iravani, has stated that remnants of weaponry used in the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran confirm that these weapons were part of the arsenals of certain Persian Gulf states. These remnants were reportedly recovered in various affected Iranian cities, indicating that these states have not only supported the aggressors but have also engaged in acts of aggression according to international law. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Iravani made these remarks on Tuesday in a letter to the UN Secretary-General and the UN Security Council president. This was in response to a letter from Bahrain concerning Iran's defensive operations in the ongoing conflict. Iran categorically dismissed the allegations from Bahrain and accused certain Persian Gulf states of providing support for the US and Israeli military operations against Iran, violating international laws prohibiting aggression. The letter from Iran detailed that the United States an d Israel conducted an unlawful armed attack against Iran on February 28, 2026, violating international law principles. Iravani's letter emphasized that the facilities and airspace of certain regional states were used to launch military operations, including attacks resulting in civilian casualties, like the terrorist attack on a school in Minab that killed 168 children. Iran has communicated formally through diplomatic channels about the unlawful use of these states' territories and airspace for military operations against it. The physical remnants of the weaponry utilized in these attacks, identified in multiple Iranian cities, were traced back to arsenals belonging to some Persian Gulf states, providing evidence of their involvement. The letter also addressed accusations linking Iran to terrorist groups such as Al-Qaida, which Iran denied, highlighting its efforts in combating terrorism. Iran underscored the historical links of such terrorist groups to other claimant blocs, pointing out the ongoing aggres sion's real nature and origin against Iran. Furthermore, Iran accused the Israeli regime, with US backing, of being the primary source of regional instability. It defended resistance movements like Hezbollah as legitimate responses to occupation and terrorism. Iran called on Persian Gulf states to fulfill their obligations by ceasing aggression and supporting resistance movements against occupation. Iran expressed its objection to the unlawful actions and urged Persian Gulf states to comply with their international duties, warning that continued distortion of facts and evasion of responsibility could escalate tensions, threatening international peace and security. The Security Council was urged to address the unlawful use of force and the complicity of states in these acts of aggression against Iran.
