Tehran: Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Pakistan's Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi have underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral trade and economic exchanges, with a particular focus on the energy sector. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the two officials convened at the Iranian Oil Ministry's headquarters in Tehran to discuss ways to strengthen energy cooperation and broaden commercial and economic relations. Paknejad emphasized the strong foundation provided by the longstanding economic, trade, and cultural ties between the two nations, which can be leveraged to enhance interaction in areas such as energy. Paknejad highlighted significant opportunities for collaboration in oil and petroleum product trade, as well as the export of technical and engineering services, especially in the refinery sector. During his visit to Tehran, Pakistan's interior minister also engaged in talks with President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, further emphasizing the commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation.
