Islamabad: Iran and Pakistan have taken a significant step towards strengthening their bilateral relationship by signing 12 cooperation documents spanning multiple sectors. These agreements cover areas such as science and technology, transportation and transit, trade and economy, tourism, and agriculture.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the signing ceremony took place in Islamabad, attended by key officials from both countries, including Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian. This event followed a high-level meeting between the two nations’ delegations, underscoring the importance of these agreements in fostering collaboration.

The cooperation documents are designed to facilitate enhanced bilateral cooperation in various domains, including judicial and legal affairs, industrial collaboration, cultural heritage, and regional synergy. These agreements are expected to promote knowledge exchange, boost commercial capacity, and strengthen people-to-people connections between Iran and Pakistan.

President Pezeshkian arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, leading a high-ranking political-economic delegation. Upon his arrival, he was greeted by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, marking the beginning of a series of discussions aimed at bolstering the partnership between the two neighboring countries.
