Tehran: Iran and Russia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly produce microelectronic components, marking a significant step in enhancing their cooperation in the technology sector. Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade signed the agreement with the Nano and Micro Technology Development Headquarters, a division under the Iranian Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and the Knowledge-Based Economy.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the agreement aims to establish sustainable production chains and explore new markets as part of the growing collaboration between Russia and Iran in the technology domain. A key component of this agreement is the involvement of the Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center (ZNTC), a prominent Russian firm, which will partner with Iranian entities.

The collaboration will focus on producing advanced nanolithography equipment, telecommunication multiplexers, and automotive sensors. Anatoly Kovalev, the general director of ZNTC, expressed enthusiasm about this development, noting that it represents the company's first partnership with Iran. The products developed through this joint initiative are expected to be available in both Russian and Iranian markets.
