Iran and Vietnam Deputy Foreign Ministers Discuss Consular Cooperation

Hanoi: Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriates Affairs Vahid Jalalzadeh met with Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang in Hanoi to discuss consular matters and bilateral cooperation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Jalalzadeh highlighted the importance Iran attaches to strengthening ties with East Asian countries, particularly Vietnam. He also referred to reciprocal visits by Iranian and Vietnamese officials at various levels as a sign of the growing momentum in bilateral relations.

Both sides exchanged views on consular issues and emphasized the need to continue efforts to expand cooperation between Tehran and Hanoi. The meeting took place during Jalalzadeh’s official visit to Hanoi, aimed at enhancing collaboration in consular and parliamentary fields as part of Iran’s broader policy to deepen relations with Asian partners.
