Tehran: The Islamic Republic of Iran Army says it has carried out retaliatory drone strikes against US troops and helicopters at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Army's public relations department announced that the American base was targeted in response to the killing of members of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and civilians in Sunday's US attack on Iran's Larak Island. The statement emphasized that dozens of explosive drones had targeted locations housing US military helicopters and personnel at the base.

Reiterating its commitment to avenge the blood of all martyrs of the US-Israeli-imposed war, the army stated it would remain vigilant to ensure sustainable security and territorial integrity until the enemy's threat from the region is eliminated.

The Al Minhad Air Base, located south of Dubai, serves as a critical logistics and air transport hub for foreign forces. The recent confrontation marks a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the US, with implications for regional security.

The American military's actions on Larak Island, described as part of its ongoing operations against Iran and elsewhere in the region, triggered the Iranian Armed Forces to respond by targeting the alleged hideout of the terrorist enemy personnel and their war equipment.
