Tehran: President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that Iran has "no fear of defending its legitimate rights" while emphasizing the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy over a state of war to secure national interests.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian made these remarks during a cabinet meeting. He highlighted the ongoing mediated negotiations with Washington in Switzerland, which are being conducted under a 60-day framework aimed at achieving a final agreement. The president underscored the significance of pursuing diplomatic channels to secure Iran's rights rather than continuing a state of conflict.
Pezeshkian praised the national unity and solidarity that have emerged as Iran's greatest achievements following the US-Israeli aggression. He described the coordination among all institutions as "exceptional and unprecedented," emphasizing the need to preserve and strengthen these bonds. The negotiation process, according to him, has been presented to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and insights from members of the Supreme National Security Council have been incorporated.
The president highlighted the remarkable development reflected in the unprecedented coordination and solidarity among Iran's political, executive, military, security, and judicial sectors. This unity is seen as vital for the nation's continued progress and successful navigation of international negotiations.
