Iran Calls for United Islamic Response to Israeli Aggression

Tehran: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has urged Islamic countries to take collective action against escalating violations of international law by Israel.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during a phone conversation with Hissein Brahim Taha, the secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Araqchi expressed gratitude for the OIC’s condemnation of Israel’s military aggression against Iran. Araqchi highlighted that the aggression represents a blatant breach of international law and the U.N. Charter, posing significant threats to both regional and global stability. He emphasized the dangers posed by the impunity enjoyed by aggressors, warning that such impunity only encourages further aggression and crimes.

Araqchi further reaffirmed Iran’s right to self-defense, asserting that the Iranian Armed Forces are prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty. During the discussion, the OIC secretary-general expressed deep concern over Israel’s military escalation and reiterated the organization’s condemnation of the attacks. He assured that the OIC would collaborate with the United Nations to mobilize international support, aiming to prevent the region from descending further into instability.
