Among these attacks was a strike on a residential house in the city of Kuhestak in Sirik, Hormozgan Province, during a wedding ceremony, resulting in the deaths of four civilians, including a four-year-old child, and injuries to more than 70 others.

The letter from Darzi denounced the US actions as a grave violation of international law and a war crime. It emphasized that such acts cannot be justified as collateral damage and called on the UN to condemn the US aggression and demand its immediate cessation. The letter also highlighted a broader pattern of unlawful attacks by the US and its allies on Iranian civilian infrastructure, referencing a previous attack on an elementary school in Minab.
